The purpose of this credit union is to promote thrift among its members by affording them an opportunity to accumulate their savings and to create for them a source of credit for economical or productive purposes.

WHO MAY JOIN:
Joining the Credit Union is one of the easiest things you will every have to do. As a member of Morning Star Baptist Church you are eligible to join the credit union. You can open an account for yourself, child, or grandchildren and immediate members of your family can join because you are a Morning Star member.

HOW TO JOIN CREDIT UNION:
Contact a Credit Committee Member for an application, complete application. You can put any amount in your share account that you want, but we require at least $6 to open the account. $1 is a joining fee and $5 goes into your account.

Dividends are added to your account semi-annually, depending on amount in your share account. All accounts must remain active and if for any reason the account is inactive for five years, money left in the account must be sent to the State after notifying shareholder. If you have a change in your status (marriage, divorce, deceased and beneficiaries), you must contact the Credit Union as soon as possible.
