Reverend Richard D. White, is the eldest son of Richard W. and Geloria S. Mitchaux White. He grew-up and served as the Assistant to the Pastor at Nazarene Baptist Church where the Honorable, Rev. Ricky V. Burgess, is Senior Pastor. Reverend White developed leadership skills, mentored young leaders, coordinated programs and ministry venues for the church and community. Reverend White was licensed to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 5, 2005 and was ordained on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

Reverend Richard D. White, Jr., is a professionally trained musician and serves as a member and spiritual advisor of the Greater Allegheny Gospel Chorale Union, a local chapter of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, Inc. (N.C.G.C.C.) founded by Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey. Rev. White is also a member of the Pastors Alliance Department of the N.C.G.C.C..

Reverend Richard D. White, Jr., is a member of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Pittsburgh and Vicinity, Inc.,. He is a past member of the Cross Functional Team of Mifflin Elementary School (Pittsburgh Public School District). Reverend White served as the past vice president of the Board of Trustee and currently serves as the Upper Ohio Area Vice-Moderator of the Allegheny Union Baptist Association (AUBA). Reverend White serves as a “Round-Up”instructor for the Congress of Christian Education for the Allegheny Union Baptist Association as well. Rev. White is a member of the Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention and her served as a youth instructor as well as a member of the By-Laws Committee. Reverend White completed the “Pastors Alternative Certification Program” and is certified to teach by the National Baptist Convention, Inc. Reverend White is a graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County, attended the University of Pittsburgh and currently attends Andersonville Theological Seminary.

Reverend White pastored and lead the Friendship Baptist Church in Washington, PA from July 17, 2011 through December 31, 2019. Led by God, under his leadership the church experienced growth in membership and ministries that meet the needs of the people of God.

On December 13, 2019, Rev. White accepted the call to pastor the Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania. Rev. White served as Pastor –Elect during the current COVID-19 Crisis and was installed on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Rev. White faithfully gives Pastoral Leadership to the entire church and the community in providing spiritual counseling, visiting of the sick and bereavement care to this church family and friends in the Clairton Community at large.

Reverend White married to the former Ebonie Rochelle Cohen on Sunday, November 3, 2002 and they have been blessed with three gifts from God: Isaiah, Elijah, and Nevaeh.
